He views all storytelling as an act of translation. He built his visual foundation at the BBC before producing on the front lines with Al Jazeera during the Arab Spring. He went on to work on projects across the world for HBO, VICE and The New York Times, with a particular focus on the Middle East and Latin America. His commitment to humanizing the human cost of conflict earned him a 2021 Peabody Award and a 2025 Emmy Award for his work in Gaza. He was a member of the New York Times team awarded the 2024 Pulitzer Prize for International Reporting.
